Off comes the bad paint, bondo, rust, etc.

On the morning of May 20, 2010, my old school mate Ken Hayes, d.b.a. Alabama Soda Blasting arrived to remove the old paint from the 63.  He has a completely self contained set up, and man does it work!

The last look at "Big Ugly" as my grandson calls it.

90% of the metal looks like a new stamping. GM used really good primer!

Yes, soda blasting will remove the old body filler, if you ask.

No water or electricity needed, he literally can go anywhere.

This 6 hours, saved me ??? hours with sandpaper in hand.

Clean as a whistle

Somewhere there is a gallon of self etching primer with my name on it.

There is more to come, it's gettin' good now.
